Here are my predictions for week 1 of the NFL season.
Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks
-Revenge for the infamous hail mary play…will have to wait another day. Seattle will be hyped in front of the best home crowd in the sport, and they’ll win a close one.
Seattle 27 Green Bay 24
New Orleans Saints at Atlanta Falcons
-The Saints are going to be one of the teams to beat this year, and while the Falcons will be improved, they’ll have to wait till week 2 to truly show it.
New Orleans 31 Atlanta Falcons 21
Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis Rams
-Shaun Hill is at QB for the Rams, and while I think they are a better team than the Vikings as a whole, I think Minnesota’s continuity throughout the preseason will give them a slight edge.
Minnesota 20 St. Louis 17
Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
-Brian Hoyer is the starting QB but he has no Josh Gordon, and I think it’ll take time before the Browns can figure out what they are doing on offense.
Pittsburgh 24 Cleveland 13
Jacksonville Jaguars at Philadelphia Eagles
-This is my STONE COLD LOCK of the weak. No way Jacksonville can keep up with the Eagles offense.
Philadelphia 34 Jacksonville 20
Oakland Raiders at New York Jets
-Carr is starting at QB for the Raiders, so for the first time in a long time the Jets have a QB advantage with Geno playing better.
New York 28 Oakland 13
Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens
-I have both teams taking a step back this year, but the Bengals are more talented on both sides of the ball.
Cincinnati 27 Baltimore 21
Buffalo Bills at Chicago Bears
-Da Bears have one of the most complete offenses in football, and I don’t trust the Bills defense to stop them
Chicago 35 Buffalo 21
Washington Redskins at Houston Texans
-JJ Watt got PAID! And rightfully so. This game is going to be really close, but an underrated Redskins defense is enough to give Washington the edge.
Washington 28 Houston 21
Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs
-First game for new Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt, and unfortunately it won’t open on a good note.
Kansas City 31 Tennessee 20
New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins
-Gronk is playing for the Pats, how many snaps? That’s a different question.
New England 38 Miami 24
Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
-Panther’s lack of weapons offensively is scary, Cam Newton can’t do it on his own, with damaged ribs as well.
Tampa Bay 17 Carolina 14
San Francisco 49ers at Dallas Cowboys
-The Cowboys have no defense to speak of, and the 49ers have many, many weapons to choose from.
San Francisco 38 Dallas 28
Indianapolis Colts at Denver Broncos
-The clash of 2 eras once again, this time experience wins out.
Denver 38 Indianapolis 27
New York Giants at Detroit Lions
-This is a match-up between an offense that looks lost and one that has enough weapons to cast a shadow over almost any other team.
Detroit 34 New York 21
San Diego Chargers at Arizona Cardinals
-Really tough game to call, both teams are sneaky good, but only one can come up the victor.
Arizona 24 San Diego 21
